Welcome to Williamston Middle School
Principal's Welcome
The students and staff at WMS take great pride in maintaining a positive learning environment with high academic achievement. The foundation of our school culture is built on staying responsible, safe, engaged, and respectful. This is evidenced by the systems in place such as Be Nice and Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS).
Dedicated and collaborative educators make student learning a priority by creating quality instruction that engages students, aligns to state standards, and meets the needs of all learners. Teachers and staff support students’ academic, social, and emotional needs in the classroom and beyond.
Our success at Williamston Middle School is attributed to the collaboration between school, home, and the community. Our extracurricular activities are supported by the staff, families, and local organizations. We collectively take pride in our district and strive to support each other through active involvement with the school community.

News & Announcements
Class of 2030 and 2031 students can access their 2025-2026 schedules in PowerSchool.
Options for schedule changes are very limited. Students may only request changes to add or drop Band or Choir, to add or drop an intervention class, or to drop a class they have already taken. No other schedule changes will be considered. If you would like to request a change for one of these reasons, please complete the linked Google Form.
Schedule change requests will be reviewed during two windows: June 2–6 and August 4–6. Please note that the Counseling Office will be closed from June 9 to August 5, 2025. Submitting a schedule change request does not guarantee an immediate response. Families can expect to hear back by August 11.
Your student’s report card is now available to view in your PowerSchool account. As part of our commitment to sustainability and efficiency, we will no longer be mailing paper copies. You can find step-by-step instructions for accessing report cards here. If you have any questions or need assistance, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us at support@gowcs.net. Thank you for your support!
Welcome to a new school year!
